150th Gandhi Jayanthi

The 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji was marked and celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Jnanakshi Vidyaniketan. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp and bhajans were sung by children.In a bid to spread the Gandhiyan legacy and values of life, a dance drama  “ The Journey of Gandhi from Moniya to Mahathma” was enacted by the children enthralling  the audience. Interesting facts about Gandhiji were shared by our Ex Administrator Wg.Cdr K R Dwarakanath (Retd)  and  principal Smt Jayalakshmi Prakash. Finally the celebration was concluded by an inspiring talk by the Honorary Secretary Shri Hayagreevachar. He emphasized the importance of Swaccha Bharath. Sweets were distributed at the end of celebration. 

​International Yoga Day - 21 June 2019

With the theme “ Yoga for heart” SJV Organised The International Yoga Day on June 21 st Friday here in the campus. All the students of the school along with teachers participated, doing various yogic exercises. Students from class 1 to 10 performed many asanas under the Yoga instructor, MrsNagaveni H M. Shri Milind R Deshpande and Harish Desai from RSS Seva Vibag were the guests of the day. They actively participated in the event. Students participated in Slogan Writing event on this occasion. They creatively designed catchy slogans and tag lines. Our beloved Principal, Mrs. Jayalakshmi Prakash encouraged both staff and students to make Yoga part of daily life

Independence Day - August 15 2019

73rd  Independence  day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Secretary Shri Hayagreevachar and Jayalakshmi Prakash Principal   of the school  were escorted by school band. The Secretary of the school hosted the Tricolor flag. The national anthem echoed in the entire campus. After the anthem there was house-wise march past. Students marched i to the beat of drum.Students shared their views on the significance of the day. The patriotic songs were rendered by the students that awakened everyone’s feeling towards motherland. The primary students danced to the tunes of patriotic songs. The glory of India   was highlighted  by the  Principal and  the Secretary inspired  by reminding the students and teachers of the sacrifices made by our great leaders. Celebration concluded by distributing sweets and by participating in Swacch Bharath.
